UK Wheelchairs comes to the South West
UK Wheelchairs opens new mobility shop in Teignmouth Devon
The building work is almost finished allowing UGO Healthcare to open their new UK Wheelchairs shop at Teignmouth, Devon in the South West. The family run business has been in the mobility business for fourteen years specialising in the sales of mobility equipment including wheelchairs, walking frames, electric wheelchairs and accessories.
Although it is admitted that sales have been hit by the ongoing recession, Sales director Chantelle Trays says that this is the right time to open another mobility shop and bring the value of the online shop to the high street in Teignmouth.
Teignmouth is a relatively small sea side town with a population of approximately 15,000 and is situated on the north bank of the river Teign in South Devon. With an ageing population and a lack of mobility retail outlets for the local residents it seemed an excellent opportunity to expand the retail side of the business says Chantelle.
The new premises has a great deal of space in which to display the ever increasing range of wheelchairs and accessories including electric wheelchairs, electric scooters, transit and self propelled wheelchairs.
Having more space allows great benefit to us and our customers says Chantelle. With volume discounts, the more we buy the less we pay, allowing us to pass these savings on to our customers both online and on the high street here in Teignmouth.
We were shown the entire range and were impressed to see so much choice. With wheelchairs for the long term and disabled user and those for the short term user who may have had an accident or an operation and will only require a wheelchair for a short period. Wheelchair
rental is also an option with collection or nationwide delivery available. From folding and lightweight, to larger heavy duty wheelchairs for bariatric use there is something for everyone’s needs.
What is more impressive is the depth of knowledge of the staff, who are available to advise on all aspects to ensure that you buy or rent the right wheelchair.
We wish the staff and the new shop the best of luck and hope that their first year is a great success.
