Details

As market leaders in healthcare products, Invacare introduced the Alu Lite transit wheelchair as a basic entry level transit wheelchair. It has proven very popular due to its light weight and manoeuvrability. It has become very popular with elderly carers who like the ease with which it folds for transportation.

Built with an aluminium frame, the Alu Lite weights just 12KG complete. If however you remove the footrests it drops to just 10.2 KGs making it very easy to lift. To store you simply fold the backrest and fold the frame.

A lightweight wheelchair with attendant brakes

From an attendants point of view, the Alu Lite is a great wheelchair to work with as it very manoeuvrable both indoors and outside and has very effective cable brakes. It is marginally smaller than many transit wheelchairs making it easier to get around in restricted spaces. The Alu Lite is available in 16" and 18" seat widths and comes with a blue frame and black nylon upholstery.
