This Karma Ergo 125 Tall transit wheelchair has been modified to suit taller users. The main adaptation is the increase in seat height, seat depth and back rest height, all of which give it more support and improved comfort levels for taller users.

Based on the highly successful Ergo 125 range this wheelchair is incredibly light thanks to the lightweight aluminium frame that is constructed using aircraft grade aluminium which give it greater strength and rigidity. The frame has twin cross braces which also add to is durability. With quick release rear wheels and removable swing out foot rests this wheelchair weighs under 9KG with the removable components taken off. This makes it very light to lift in to the car boot, coach or train. Once folded, the wheelchair is very compact thanks to its half folding back rest.

A lightweight transit wheelchair for tall people

Available in 18" or 20" seat widths this Ergo 125 tall model is suited to users up to 18 stone or 115 KGs in weight. Control of the wheelchair is easy with the help of the attendant brakes which help slow and stop the chair. There are also stepper tubes for the attendant to assist with lifting the front castors. All tyres are puncture proof for reliability. The seat and back rest use Aegis microbe shield fabric to prevent any build-up of bacteria and to make for easy cleaning.

The Ergo seating system helps to prevent the user from slipping in their seat and also helps avoid pressure sores. The arm rests flip back making side transfers easier. They also allow easy access to desks allowing the user to sit closer to the work top.
