This transit wheelchair is lighter than many of its competitors yet has a heavier user limit and the option of a wider seat. With a host of features including quick release tool-free foot  rest adjustment, full length arm rests that have been upholstered to increase user comfort, a half-folding backrest and 12" rear wheels which are puncture proof .

The Expedition Plus is described by Drive Medical as its most feature rich transit wheelchair and comes as standard with a lightweight aluminum frame with both parking brakes and attendant brakes which are the arthritic friendly loop type handles to assist in the slowing and stopping of the wheelchair.

This transit model really does have a good level of features aimed at promoting maximum comfort.
