The all new DE08L FreedomChair is an improved version of the hugely popular A08L powerchair. This powerchair retains all of the functionality of the original model and is now designed to split in to two pieces to make carrying and transportation easier.

Designed for use inside and out, this easy-to-use electric wheelchair is joystick controlled making turns and manoeuvres simple. It will turn on its own axis making it ideal for space restricted areas like shops and lifts. The rear drive wheels are 12.5" in diameter and have pneumatic tyres and the front wheels have the addition of suspension to make the ride quality more comfortable.

When it is time to store the FreedomChair it folds with ease and can be stood up on its end to occupy minimal space. If you want to transport the chair you can separate the rear section which removes the motors and rear wheels. Each half is now much lighter making it easy to lift in to the car boot. A durable travel bag is provided with the power chair and can be used to protect the chair while it is being wheeled in the upright freewheel mode.

A two part powerchair that is easy to lift

Ideal for everyday use or for use on holiday the FreedomChair DE08L is very well made and provides a sturdy platform for users up to 25 stones or 160kgs in weight. The range of the chair can be increased by adding additional batteries. Each battery provides approximately 9 miles of usage and a maximum of three can be loaded at any one time. These batteries are approved for airline travel.

To the rear of the chair there are anti-tip wheels that prevent the powerchair from tipping backwards when going up a steep incline. This powerchair is a very adaptable model that is well suited to full time use and will cope with most conditions with ease. There is also the optional extra of an attendant control kit which can be fitted to either handle allowing the carer full control of the powerchair. When it's no longer required it can be switched off allowing the user to regain full control.
