The Excel 9.9 self propelled wheelchair is a new model from quality manufacturers Van Os Medical. This super lightweight wheelchair has an aluminium frame and is designed for users who weigh up to 100kg (15 stone) in weight.

Described by Van Os Medical as a travel wheelchair, this model is well equipped for everyday use and has a full host of features that include quick release rear wheels, removeable footrests that can be turned in or out, a backrest with adjustable tension straps and arm rests that can be raised and lowered to provide optimum comfort.

The special s-curve seat is designed to promote good posture and reduce slipping making it a very comfortable wheelchair. The push handles at the rear of the wheelchair are height adjustable to ensure the attendant is as comfortable as possible when controlling the wheelchair.

This Excel 9.9 wheelchair has been successfully crash tested and can be used in suitably adapted vehicles. When not in use the Excel wheelchair folds with ease by lifting the seat fabric in the centre, the backrest is also half-folding making the wheelchair very compact and easy to store.
