The K5 powerchair is a quality compact folding model that is for ideal for users who want a reliable travelling companion. Built around a lightweight aluminium frame, the K5 provides comfortable transport for users up to 23 stone in weight. The seat back angle is adjustable as is the armrest length and height ensuring you are comfortable whilst out and about. There is a headrest fitted to the back rest which provides further support.

The front wheels have suspension which helps to iron out the road ahead. Driven by two 250 watt brushless motors, the power is smooth and will propel the powerchair along at speeds up to 4mph / 6.5 kph and will cover distances up to 9 miles from a single battery charge. Charging the battery is simple by removing the battery and taking it to the charger. Control of the powerchair is easy with the programmable joystick which can be tuned to suit the preferred level of responsiveness.

Under the seat there is some useful storage space for everyday items such as clothing or shopping. To the rear of the K5 powerchair there are anti-tip wheels which prevent the chair from becoming unstable when climbing inclines. Where it is safe to do so, the K5 will climb gradients up to 12 degrees thanks to those powerful twin motors. When it is time to slow down, the electromagnetic brakes deliver smooth but strong stopping power.

When you want to store or transport the K5, it folds with ease down to a compact size which can be stored in the car boot with ease. All in all this powerchair is well suited to active users who travel frequently.
